Guided by Holistic Psychotherapist Johanna Treweeke’s 15 years of psychotherapy, research and teaching experience, this fully catered retreat is open to individuals and couples interested in achieving more intimate and satisfying relationships.

Setting :

The magnificent Orara Valley at Coffs Harbour offers the ideal setting to tune into nature and ritual as part of unravelling the hidden aspects of Intimacy and Belonging. The retreat provides for gentle and meaningful reflection in luxurious and tranquil environs, providing participants with unrivalled opportunities to calm, clear and rejuvenate themselves physically, emotionally and spiritually.

Supporting Connection

Fostering a sense of belonging and connection through creative and playful methods, participants will explore;

* How we are supported or become trapped by inertia
in the face of our most basic needs and deepest yearnings.

* Signs, patterns and elements of both yearning and inertia that enable us to create the conditions for a full emergence of our most passionate selves and deepest sense of Belonging.

* The relational spaces and developmental themes we inhabit as they emerge and evolve in relationships.

* Creating and safeguarding environments of collective trust and respect.

* Charting, fully engaging and supporting all agents of belonging.

Philosophical
Underpinnings

Guided with the experience of Johanna’s 15 years of counselling, research and teaching, this Intensive will provide opportunities to both bridge and charter the emotional gulf between Separateness and Connection. Complementing her counselling of individuals, couples, families and groups, Johanna has presented seminars on a variety of approaches within the domain of psychotherapy - including Gestalt psychology, eco-psychology, narrative therapy, psychodrama, metaphor and art therapies.

Meaning literally
"to place"

Gestalt therapy is a practical, creative approach engaging both the imaginative and rational minds in charting effective paths to more profound domains of intimacy and understanding. In its seventh decade, the Gestalt method is an inclusive one: employing a host of practical tools and insights from the worlds of Physiology, Psychology, Spirituality, as well as individual experience and relational issues. At the core of Gestalt therapy is the fostering of a sense of belonging, by better understanding our respective differences as individuals, along with our perceptions and quests for greater intimacy.
